The One with the Fun Fold

The Retired List came out today! Bust sadly for me, that means the Dino Paper is on its way out. (AND IT IS ON SALE NOW) If you saw the post about our 24 hour event- this is one of the things that I made during that. It is a fun and easy way to use up all of your retiring Designer Series Paper. It is a pretty quick card.

The video below shows the card with the piece of DSP that has the dinos on the pink, but I also have included pictures from a card with the piece of DSP that has the yellow background, so that you can see how easy it is to just change a few of the colors.  Also, the ribbon on these two cards comes from the catalog and when you look in there it only comes in white- YES! that is right!  For these two, I took a spool of the white ribbon and used our ink refills mixed with some water to dye it overnight. The colors that I used are listed in the supply links. It is a super fun way to make a basic product suit your needs.

Steps to make this card:
1. Cut an 12"x 12" piece of  DinoRoar Designer Series Paper so that it is 5.5" x 12"
2. Score at 4.25" & 7.25" & 10.25"
3. Fold into an accordion
4. Cut a piece of Flirty Flamingo card-stock to 5.25"x 4"
5. Using the two largest Stitched Nested Labels Dies- cut out a piece of Pretty Peacock card-stock for the larger die and a piece of Whisper white card-stock with the smaller die
6. Then using the egg from the Dino Dies, cut out an egg from a piece of Old Olive card-stock
7. For this card, I cut out my dinosaurs from a piece of the DinoRoar Designer Series Paper with the Dino Dies, but in the card below you'll see that I stamped them and then cut them out with the dies
8. Now using your Snail Adhesive, stick the piece of Flirty Flamingo to the back and the pieces cut with the dies layered so that it all shows when folded in
9. Next use the Snail Adhesive to add the dinosaurs to the back 2 panels of the card
10. Use the VersaMark pad to add spots to the egg
11. Use snail to attach the dinosaur to the egg (make sure to cut off his tail so that he can sit higher)
12. Stamp the sentiment from the Dino Days stamp set using a Lovely Lipstick Classic Stampin' Pad on the last panel
13. Stamp the next sentiment from the Dino Days stamp set using a Pretty Peacock Classic Stampin' Pad on the middle panel
14. Use a Flirty Flamingo Classic Stampin' Pad to stamp the front panel with the sentiment from the Witty-cisms stamp set
15. Using the Stampin' Dimensionals, pop up the dinosaur and egg on the front to give the card some depth
16. Finish it off by adding dyed tulle ribbon to tie it shut with a bow (optional)
